Proclaim May 3, 2016, as "Teacher Day".
SUMMARY:
The Apple Valley community has long been renowned for its high quality public education system. Success of our schools rests in large part with dedicated and quality teachers who help our students learn the necessary skills to be successful in the job market. In recognition of their contribution, Governor Dayton has signed a similar proclamation and encourages others to recognize the importance of teachers.
BACKGROUND:
Mayor Mary Hamann-Roland has agreed to sponsor the proclamation.
